Delivery area
GridPilot delivers to approved physical addresses within New Zealand unless otherwise agreed. We may decline delivery to locations that are unsafe, inaccessible, outside carrier coverage, or unsuitable for the product.
Commercial chargers, pedestals, switchgear, cable, batteries, and oversized equipment may require a separate freight quote, specialist delivery, depot collection, forklift, tail-lift, crane, or customer-provided unloading facilities.
Processing
Stocked orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days after cleared payment, order acceptance, compatibility checks, and receipt of all required information.
Special-order, imported, configured, registered, platform-enabled, or commercial products may take longer. An estimated lead time is not a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly agreed in writing.
Freight charges
The customer is responsible for freight and related charges shown at checkout or in the accepted quote.
Additional charges may apply for:
- rural, island, remote, or restricted locations;
- oversized, heavy, fragile, or insured freight;
- redelivery, storage, depot holding, or return-to-sender;
- incorrect or incomplete delivery details;
- failed delivery or unavailable recipient;
- tail-lift, forklift, crane, traffic management, or specialist unloading;
- urgent, timed, weekend, or after-hours service; and
- unsafe or undisclosed site-access conditions.
GridPilot may require payment of additional disclosed freight costs before dispatch or redelivery.
Address and access obligations
The customer must provide accurate address, contact, access, unloading, and site information. For heavy equipment, the customer must confirm who will receive and safely unload the shipment.
Standard delivery does not include installation, lifting into final position, unpacking, removal of packaging, electrical work, or movement beyond the carrier's normal safe delivery point unless included in writing.
Delivery timing
Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed as fixed. If no time is agreed, delivery will occur within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.
GridPilot may split delivery where reasonable. We will not charge additional split-delivery costs unless disclosed or agreed.
Tracking and carrier instructions
Tracking may be provided where available. Carrier scans and estimated dates are controlled by the carrier.
Any authority-to-leave instruction should only be used where the location is secure and appropriate for valuable electrical equipment. Responsibility will be determined by the agreed delivery arrangement and applicable law.
Inspection and damage
Inspect packaging and products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Photograph visible damage before unpacking and retain all packaging.
Prompt notice helps GridPilot make a carrier or insurance claim. A failure to notify immediately does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, but may affect our ability to establish when or how damage occurred.
Do not install or energise visibly damaged equipment.
Incorrect, delayed, lost, or damaged shipments
Contact info@gridpilot.co.nz with the order number, photographs, and details. GridPilot will investigate with the carrier and provide a remedy where required by law or the agreed terms.
Failed delivery, storage, and abandonment
If delivery fails because of incorrect details, no recipient, inadequate access, or lack of unloading arrangements, the customer may be responsible for reasonable redelivery, storage, return, and remobilisation costs where lawful.
GridPilot may store paid or unpaid goods for a reasonable period while seeking instructions. We will provide notice before taking further action in relation to uncollected goods, and will comply with applicable law.
Collection
Collection is by confirmed appointment only. Collection details will be provided after the order is ready. The customer must bring identification and suitable transport, restraint, weather protection, and handling equipment.
Risk and responsibility for loading will be confirmed in the collection arrangement. GridPilot may refuse unsafe loading or collection.
Delivery and independent installation
The sale, delivery or collection of a GridPilot product does not include electrical installation, building work, civil work or renovation work. A preliminary GridPilot assessment does not confirm that the site is safe, compliant, ready or suitable for installation.
The customer is responsible for separately engaging and paying an appropriately licensed electrical contractor. The contractor must inspect and confirm site readiness, product suitability, electrical capacity, scope, price and availability before work begins, and must provide the required testing and electrical certification.
Where requested, GridPilot may introduce an independent contractor or share relevant product and site information with the customer's authorisation. The contractor provides their own quotation and contract and invoices the customer directly. GridPilot does not supply or invoice the installation service.
