A preliminary planning assessment for workplaces, retail, accommodation, apartments, fleets and commercial properties considering EV charging.
Plan commercial EV charging around your real site, users and growth pathway.
Commercial charging involves more than selecting hardware. Parking layout, known supply information, charger quantity, user access, payment, load management and future expansion all affect the questions that must be confirmed before a project proceeds.
GridPilot’s Commercial Site Assessment provides a structured preliminary starting point before the customer commissions specialist feasibility, detailed electrical design or installation work.

Pricing Scope
NZ$499 incl. GST covers one preliminary assessment for a straightforward Auckland commercial site, one primary parking area, visible access to the relevant electrical area and an initial charging pathway generally involving one or two proposed charging bays.
A custom GridPilot assessment scope and price will be provided before booking where the preliminary review involves multiple switchboards, multi-level or shared parking, several buildings, body corporate requirements or multiple site visits. Detailed drawings, load studies, engineering, network applications, payment modelling and other specialist services are outside the standard assessment and must be independently scoped with the relevant provider.
Important Notes
- This is a preliminary planning assessment, not a detailed electrical engineering report, construction drawing, final installation design, investment advice, revenue guarantee or guaranteed project quotation.
- GridPilot does not verify supply capacity, open switchboards, perform electrical testing, approve a charging installation or provide prescribed electrical work.
- Formal capacity verification, electrical testing, network applications, fire or accessibility review, engineering and prescribed electrical work must be separately confirmed by the relevant registered electrician, engineer, lines company, payment provider or other specialist engaged directly by the customer.
- Payment acceptance, acquiring, transaction fees, SIM or data charges, software, OCPP backend access and ongoing platform costs depend on the selected providers and are not included unless expressly stated in a separate provider agreement.
- Product suitability remains subject to final site capacity, exact hardware, payment-service availability, compliance documentation and specialist verification.
Any electrical installation is separately assessed, quoted, contracted, invoiced, performed, tested and certified by an independent licensed electrical contractor engaged directly by the customer. GridPilot does not supply or invoice the electrical installation service.
Booking Information
- Allow approximately 90–120 minutes for a straightforward site.
- Site plans, parking plans, electrical drawings, electricity bills and known project requirements should be supplied before the visit where available.
- Full payment of NZ$499 incl. GST is required before the site visit. The assessment fee is separate from any later feasibility, design, equipment, payment setup, software, engineering or installation charges.
Commercial Project Pathway
- Free 15-minute qualification call: Confirm the intended users, site type and whether the project fits the standard GridPilot assessment scope.
- NZ$499 preliminary assessment: Review one straightforward site and provide an initial written charging pathway.
- Independent specialist confirmation: Where detailed feasibility, capacity analysis, drawings, network engagement, payment modelling or electrical design is required, the relevant specialist separately scopes, quotes, contracts and invoices the customer.
